As the city’s Halloween frights and festivities reach their peak, Improv Queensland, the city’s longest-running improv company, will unleash one final terror. From October 30th to November 1st, the company's newest unscripted production, Horror High, will invite audiences to its eerie high school campus where every scream is blood-curdling.

As improvisers, we love to perform. It’s not a shocking statement to declare that most of us a pretty comfortable in front of an audience. But what about when when we’re in the audience? We’ve all been there. There’s a certain set of conflicting emotions and states of mind that we experience when we’re watching, and not performing.
At first glance, meteorologists and improvisers might seem like they have little in common—one predicts the weather, the other creates theatre out of thin air. But when you look closer, both professions revolve around anticipating the unpredictable, adapting in real time, and keeping an audience engaged no matter what comes their way.
