This beginners course is designed to introduce you to the basics of improvised theatre in a fun and friendly environment.
What does our course involve?
Over the course of the 6 weeks, participants will be gradually introduced to performing Theatresports games and scenes, and will learn to hit the stage with confidence and playfulness.
The classes are suitable for anyone interested in performing impro, as well as those interested in improving their public speaking and creativity or expanding their theatrical toolbox.
You will learn techniques to:
Trust your creative impulse
Be present and in the moment
Accept and build on ideas
Embrace failure
All participants will be invited to demonstrate their skills at a graduation show at the end of the workshop.

Our classes are primarily aimed at adults. If you are under 18, let us know and we will discuss if you can attend the class.
Your teacher - Leica Baker
Leica Baker originally trained with ImproMafia in Brisbane and has been working to hone her skills as a teacher. In 2019, Leica made her Brisbane Comedy Festival debut in Improv QLD’s "Heartfelt High" and competed in the "Queensland Theatresports Championships". She then ventured onto the international stage in "People Like You" and "Truth or Dare" at the New Zealand Improv Festival. Leica loves the effortlessness of improvisation and lives for the joy it can bring.
