Topic of the Month: Let’s Be Bad Guys
Sometimes scenes or entire shows require us as performers to be antagonists. It can be difficult to separate our personal feelings from our characters’ and allow us to commit to being the bad guy. This class will look at how we can commit our characters to making such decisions and reveling in the reactions they will inevitably spawn.
About Your Teacher:
Daniel Johnston began his improv journey with University Theatresports in 2019, later advancing through Improv Queensland’s classes in 2020. He has since become a regular performer with IQ, appearing in shows such as Heartfelt High, Murder at the Bowlo, and A Lust of Elves and Magic. His performances have spanned festivals across Brisbane, as well as inter-state in Sydney and Perth, and internationally in Singapore, Manila, and Auckland.
