Terms and Conditions of Workshop Registration
Refund Policy
Students are entitled to a full refund if they request it 3 days before the start of the first workshop.
After this point, refunds are not available except at the discretion of the workshop director.
Students are not entitled to a refund if they do not attend a workshop but continue to be enrolled in the course (e.g. they miss a week).
Class cancellations
We have a minimum numbers of students that is required for a workshop course to go ahead. If this number is not reached we may cancel the workshop (we note that this does not occur very often).
We will aim to give you a minimum of 48 hours notice that a workshop has been cancelled and will aim for more notice if possible.
If a workshop course does not go ahead we will provide you with a full refund (including any ticket fees).
We also reserve the right to reschedule individual classes due to teacher illness or other unexpected event. We will reschedule classes to a similar time and location in the future.
If we are unable to reschedule then we will provide a pro-rata refund for the value of the missed workshop.
We will also offer a pro-rata refund if we have to reschedule more than one class in a course.
Age Limit
All of our workshops, unless otherwise stated, are for individuals aged 18 years and over. If you are under 18 (eg 17 years old) and wish to attend, please send us an email and we can discuss whether the workshop is suitable.
Creating a Safe Environment
Imrpov QLD has a strict no drug or alcohol policy for all of its classes. This is necessary for safety and to make sure everyone gets the most they possibly can out of the class.
Students are to respect each other’s personal space. Understand that other people may have a different sense of personal space to you. You are to follow the directions from your teacher regarding personal space and physical contact at all times.
Understand other people may have different personal values and beliefs to you. While comedy does involve playing with the line of the appropriate and the inappropriate, please avoid sexist, racist, homophobic or otherwise offensive comments.
We will not tolerate aggressive or threatening behaviour.
Take care of yourself – be aware of your personal limits (physical, mental and otherwise) and don’t be afraid to let the teacher know if you don’t feel comfortable doing an exercise.
Failure to follow class rules on personal safety or directions from your teacher regarding safety may result in your being immediately removed from the class. No refunds are available if this occurs.
Workshop participants are strongly encouraged to let their teacher know immediately if ever they feel uncomfortable or unsafe during a workshop.
You will be provided information on how to report any concerns about your workshop by your workshop teacher at your first workshop.
Late Arrival
We ask that all participants try to arrive 5 minutes early for class, so that class can start on time. Arriving late to class is disruptive to both teachers and your class mates.
If you are going to arrive late to class, please contact your teacher.
