Advanced & specialty classes
We offer a range of advanced and specialty classes to help refine and expand your improv skills. These classes are taught specifically with performance in mind, and will teach you how to use character and relationships to create engaging scenework, how to be comfortable exploring both comedic and dramatic moments, and how to build a long-form improvised show.
We also teach occasional speciality classes which focus on skills such as improv music and physicality.
These classes build on previous work taught so completing our intermediate classes is a pre-requisite.

Social Theatresports
Looking to further develop your improv skills and show them off in front of an audience? The Theatresports Social Club may just be the opportunity you're looking for!
Our social theatresports program combines monthly workshops with one of our experienced teachers with a theatresports (or short-form show opportunity). This is a great way to get time on stage while also continuing to grow and develop your skills in a workshop environment.
Social theatresports is available to students who have completed at least two intermediate workshops.
Improv Queensland ensemble and associates
The IQ ensemble is our auditioned company of performers who train and work together regularly to create our regular monthly comedy show, SNAP, and our festival shows.
Entry into the ensemble is through our auditioned associates program. The associates program is a year long training program where participants work with our most experience teachers to focus on pushing their skills further along with other committed and experienced participants.
The associates program only takes a small number of participants. However, we encourage our students to audition (as even the audition process can be helpful).
