Teacher of the Month: Becky Gethen
Topic of the Month: Meet Me in the Middle
Sometimes we’re tempted to start our improv scenes with small talk, generalised questions or converse with a stranger where there’s no stakes involved….
But what if we started our scenes in the middle? This workshop will explore getting into the guts of a scene to explore the action that happens after the formalities in a defined relationship. We will look at using strong statements, bold choices and emotion to address what’s really going on in the relationship to inspire and enrich your scene and characters. We will practice meeting your scene partner in the middle!
Note: Improv Qld drop-in classes are available to improvisers who have completed a 6 week Beginner Improv Course (at minimum). If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in contact.
