Why Join Theatresports Social Club?
There comes a time in every improv students journey where continued growth requires regular stage time. Improv Queensland’s Theatresports Social Club is proud to provide quality performance opportunities, which allow our students to flourish.
The club also provides members with regular monthly training, to support growth, confidence and a fantastic social atmosphere.

Want to know why you should be a part of Improv Queensland’s Theatresports Social Club?
If you’re like me and love the limelight, then the Theatresports Social Club is how and where to spend more time in it. You get to perform in front of a live audience once a month with people that share the same passion and that that have been doing improv for a year or twenty (or anywhere in between). I look forward so much to every performance that I almost can’t handle the three weeks of waiting in between each show.
But it’s not all about the limelight.
You also get to hang out with fellow improvisors for a few hours every month learning new techniques from a variety of teachers and put them into practice on stage – extending your improv knowledge and continuing with your passion.
You gain confidence from learning that it’s ok to make mistakes, be vulnerable, stumble on words, or have a total brain freeze! Being yourself is exactly who you need to be, not just when you’re in a workshop or on stage, but in that big scary world out there. You gain the mental strength to stand up and say ‘I do improv so I can do anything that comes my way’.
You also make friends. You know the saying about meeting your tribe? Well the Theatresports Social Club will lead you to find the people that have the same energy as you. It will lead you to doing things outside of class and to heaps of fun and laughter. These are the people that become your safe people.
So, that is what makes the Improv Queensland Social Club so awesome.
