Wade Robinson - Festival Director
Wade Robinson is one of Improv QLD’s founders and director of the Queensland Youth Theatresports Festival. Wade has performed in numerous improv shows, with his most notable credits performing in Theatresports (2021 - 2024) and Murder Village (2022, 2023, 2025) at the Brisbane Comedy Festival. He was also a member of the first Queensland team to win the National Theatresports Championships in Sydney and performed in Murder at the Bowlo at the Brisbane Anywhere Festival and Sydney Fringe Festival (Fringe Ready Award and nomination for Best Immersive Show).
Directorily, Wade directed ‘of Elves and Magic’ at the Anywhere Theatre Festival in 2024 which won the award for best comedy.
Wade is an experienced teacher, and has been a key driver of IQ’s workshop program since 2010. He is excited about directing the Youth THeatresports Festival this year as taking part in the festival was how he developed his love of improvisation.
Fiona Bergstrum - Schools co-ordinator
Fiona Bergstrum is an improviser, educator, and administrator with Improv Queensland, where she will be managing all administrative components of this year’s Youth Theatresports Competitions. Fiona has been improvising for eight years and is currently in her ninth year as a primary school teacher, bringing a strong mix of organisation, creativity, and educational insight to her role.
Fiona has represented Improv Queensland at the Brisbane Comedy Festival and the North Australian Festival of Arts, and has performed in shows including Mother Goose’s Misplaced Tails, Murder at the Bowlo, Sportsball, and Improv Queensland’s weekly show, SNAP!.
She is excited to support young performers and help create a welcoming, well-run competition experience.
