Theatresports goes to Townsville!

Improv Queensland recently produced our first show outside of Brisbane when we debuted Theatresports at the North Australian Festival of Arts (this is apart from various improv festivals we have performed at around the world from New York, to Manila, Singapore, and New Zealand).

It was fantastic to bring our improv to new audiences and to really embrace our new focus on Queensland (not just Brisbane). It was also personally satisfying for me, as the show’s director, to bring Theatresports to my home town of Townsville.

It was amazing to be a part of such an brilliant festival such as NAFA. We had three nights of packed theatres, full of warm and generous crows. Thank you to all the audience members who chatted to us after the show and gave us great reviews. We loved connecting with you!

Not only was it our first time bringing Theatresports to Townsville, but in another first, our show was mentioned in a political cartoon published in the local newspaper.
