Liam Spargo

Liam has been improvising for almost two decades, having first experienced improv in high school as a competitor in the Queensland Youth Theatresports competition. Now an established member of the Improv Queensland performance ensemble, Liam has performed in long-form interactive shows The Starting Zone and Murder at the Bowlo, while also being a regular contributor to short-form shows across the years, including Sportsball, Iron Improviser, The Big Improv Party and SNAP! Liam has also represented Improv Queensland on the festival circuit, having performed in Theatresports at the North Australian Festival of the Arts and in the Theatresports Grand Championships at the Brisbane Comedy Festival. When he’s not performing, Liam acts as the coordinator of Improv Queensland’s Theatresports Social Club, where he shepherds up and coming improvisers through regular performance opportunities. Liam has also returned to the Queensland Youth Theatresports competition on many occasions, both as a coach (of the eventual champions) and enthusiastic judge and emcee. Liam’s favourite aspect of improvisation is the collaborative process of creating magic from nothing while knowing that your fellow performers will always have your back.
