Theatresports and Improv for the Stage and Classroom (professional development for teachers)

  • 28 Tallwood St Seven Hills, Qld 4170 Australia (map)

Improv Queensland’s Educator Personal Development covers the three major topics that are essential for great improv:

  • Team Work

  • Stage Craft

  • Narrative

This PD session will build on your knowledge of improv and give you the confidence to introduce new improvisational games and techniques into your classrooms. This PD is designed for Youth Theatresports coaches looking to set their teams up for success in 2026. It is also ideal for secondary teachers who are interested in exploring improvised and devised drama with their students.

Improvisation Queensland has been producing Theatresports and Long Form Improvised plays for 20 years. We are excited to support the creative practice of Queensland’s teachers, and provide PD that is genuinely fun.

Light refreshments provided.

Please bring your own water bottle and your preferred writing materials. Wearing comfortable clothes is recommended, as we will be doing hands-on drama activities.
